Doubts and Questions about Christianity – (Steve and Bryan) On January 13 & 20 we will be conducting a two week class attempting to wrestle with some doubts about Christianity. During the first week we plan to look at two questions; “Is there a God?” and “Is the Bible trustworthy?” At the end of class on the first week you will be invited to place any other questions on notecards in a basket and Steve and I will attempt to group them and address them during the second week. We welcome any visitors to this class and we hope it will prove helpful and practical.
Starting in February
Bible Study - Making Sense of the Prophets – (George Orlemann) We will review what we learned about prophesy in the Old Testament and apply the principles of Biblical interpretation to several prophetic passages. Our goal will be that we are able to read, understand, and apply Biblical principles from the prophetic writings to our own time and life situations. You do not need to have taken the previous course on prophets to profit from this one.
For Women Only – (Gabe Johnson) It's a Lysa Terkeurst reunion! Our good friend and teacher Lysa is back with a Bible study series designed to help us find our Best Yes. This study will discuss making wise decisions in the midst of endless demands. She talks frankly about "curing the disease to please with a biblical understanding of the command to love, escaping the guilt of disappointing others, overcoming the agony of hard choices, and rising above the endless demands of the endless to-do list." If this is NOT something you struggle with, please come and share your secrets with the rest of us!
Christianity and World religions – (Bryan Fitzgerald) During our third Sunday School session of the year I plan to offer a class that helps us to understand world religions and their similarities and differences from Christianity. I hope we leave this class with a better understanding of Islam, Buddhism, Judaism, and several others.
